KETCHEREX DEVON REX AND SPHYNX CATS

Hi, my name is Susan Rust and I live in Milton Keynes, Bucks

Six or seven years ago I fell in love with the Devon Rex breed of cat. I fell for this breed as they are quite different from any cat I had owned previously. They are active, mischievous and playful. They love people, they are intelligent and perform acts which are usually associated with dogs. They willingly play “fetch” and chase. They love to cuddle up and will often curl round their owners neck or curl up on their chest.

I decided to learn more about the breed to see whether I could successfully become a breeder. So four years ago I started in a small way by looking for a suitable breeding queen. My first queen was Astra. I bought Astra as a sixteen week kitten. Before mating her I entered her into cat shows and she proved to be an award-winning cat.

Since that time I have continued, I feel successfully, to breed in a small way in a home environment. I am still breeding from Astra, who is a Blue cream tortie Si-Rex as well as her daughter Sky who is Chocolate seal point Si-Rex. I also have a Black smoke girl called Lunar.
